Flickr.....and More Flickr

Hi all. It has been quite some time since I graced the wonderful world of web with my presence as I have been off on holidays enjoying the delights of Far North Queensland. (yes you can be jealous!.....it was absolutely fantastic and I didn't want to come back, but due to responsibilities, here I am.....and here we go so hold on tight!) Flickr....like I said it has been a while since I graced the 'wwow'...so I have to re read this subject and see where I was up to as I didn't manage to blog it, wiki it etc.....I think I did sandbox it though. Alas the memory lapses nowdays and it is time to refresh and forge my way forward through Flickr. "Stop flapping your gums and 'JUST DO IT!' Haych." OK then. :)

Signed up for Flickr and put some piccies on my Flickr site and tagged them...although I dont think that I fully comprehended what tagging was at the time...but hey!...we can fix that, right?
So here goes with putting a photo from Flickr into my blog.
Cross your fingers for me.

Maybe back to the drawing board for me! (sigh)
Maybe I should read how to do that part again. Then try again.

I have had a little play with Flickr Toys and they are pretty neat. There is alot that you can do with their toys to jazz up your photos or make things for rellies etc., or just to make them more interesting. First impressions tell me that this would be a good way to advertise new books or dvd's etc that come into the library...especially with some of the Flickr Toys. You could also put upload video of chat sessions from the librarian or authors.
Jazz up the background of your webpage. Link to other subject matter that the same tag as your stuff.
The ideas just keep coming and you just have to learn to think outside the box.
Really great stuff!
